About cal-forum	English (USA)
This online conference is for news, analysis and discussion of Green organizing (both electoral and movement) in California. Please speak on the forum as you would in a formal meeting of your Green organization. Address the group (not some individual), discuss ideas and events (not personalities and suspected motives), and don't waste your fellow Greens' time and patience with invective and repetition. Don't say anything you wouldn't want the press to see. Don't use insulting language or call people names. (If you must disparage someone, do it in private email to that person.) Be very careful with humor: there's no body language in email and it's too easy to misinterpret humor. Messages to this forum should be sent no place else. That is, do not send a message to this forum with other addresses in its To:, Cc: or Bcc: lines. This prohibition will be enforced by software in the future: your message will not be posted. This rule is necessary to prevent runaway "flame war" conversations with other groups and nonsubscribers. Specific rejection policy as of 2-11-2006: 1) Message file size may not exceed 80KB. 2) No more than 2 recipients allowed in the "To" and "CC" header lines. Admin's policy change 5-6-2007: In order to view the archives you must use your subscribed email address and password OR you may use the email address gpca@votegreen.org and the usual shared GPCA password. Using cal-forum
To post a message to all the list members, send email to cal-forum@cagreens.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to cal-forum
Subscribe to cal-forum by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
