Please try to stop by the library next Wed, 2/8/06, 6:30pm and help us to get the Green signatures needed. We will provide the petitions, snacks & conversation-- if you care for the latter! Petitions include those of your Council members running again, the California Fair Wage Initiative and those of various Green candidates running for public office. Remember, these petitions are 'only worth the paper they are printed on' if we can't get the required signatures of registered Greens. Looking forward to seeing you Wednesday, Linda Howard for the EDC GP County Council From dianasum at directcon.net Wed Feb 8 18:32:23 2006 From: dianasum at directcon.net (Diana Stauffer) Date: Wed, 8 Feb 2006 18:32:23 -0800 Subject: [GP-Eldorado-n] Fw: Meet Charles Brown! Message-ID: <017901c62d21$2c36d700$0100007f@D81GRT31> ----- Original Message ----- From: coalition for change Subject: Fw: Meet Charles Brown! WE CAN DO BETTER THAN DOOLITTLE! Who: Coalition for Change and YOU! What: Meet Charles Brown When: Wed, Feb. 22, 5:30-7:30pm Where: Cozmic Caf?, Placerville Why: We need new representation for our district and we have the candidate for you! Our current representative, John Doolittle, has been in office since 1991. He has a record of voting against veterans benefits, against supplying our troops properly, against our environment and against education. He has voted with the indicted house leader, Tom DeLay, 97%. He has accepted large campaign donations from a company for whom he then attached millions of dollars of contracts as "earmarks" to other legislation. He is part of the culture of corruption in Washington. It's time for real change. It's time for Charles Brown. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
