Hello Greens & Other Like-Minded Folks,
Please Consider joining us at Loon Lake
for a day or for the weekend. Sorry for the
short notice, so can you help advertise this
event by sending this notice on to any other
lists which you think would be appropriate?

Rod Walton of Tahoe arranged the event
to bring great folks together to enjoy
both the beautiful area & the satisfaction of
working together on a community project.
The following is his notice. Linda Howard

Do you want to get away up to gorgeous Loon Lake 6600 Feet, up in the
Crystal Basin on the backside of the Rubicon Trail? It's 90 minutes from
South Lake Tahoe &/or Placerville, SEPT. 28-30, FRIDAY- SUNDAY.
FREE CAMPING- At NORTH WIND CAMPSITE- (LOON LAKE). Toilets, dumpers,
water, store, main road, fishing, hiking, swimming & all camping type
playing by a huge Sierra Mountain lake. And sunny, Fall days are in the
forecast!!

We will be cleaning up either the beach, roads, ruff campsites or the
general area. This must be done before the trash blows into the lake. The
Forest Supervisor Charis Parker from PARKS & REC, will provide us with
the tools we need. But I would bring a pair of gloves & hat. We can work
[volunteer] for 4 hours per day, noon-4pm, Saturday & Sunday or come up
for just one of the days only, and the rest of the time is ours to play.
We can get to know like mind friends also.

You must bring all your own campout stuff - food, flashlight, coat, long
pants,
soap & sleeping stuff, etc. And work gloves for cleanup project.
The PERFECT WEATHER will be in the 70s in the day: but the low 30s at
night.
