MARIN GP COUNTY COUNCIL MEETING
Attending: Lew Tremaine, Gary Ruskin, David Quinley and Marnie Glickman

1) CHECK IN
2) REPORT FROM THE GPCA PLENARY
Marnie and Gary said they thought the meeting was very unproductive.
3) TECH REPORT
(a) Marin Greens Discussion List: Started for county council
business and public discussion. Purpose of list is Marin Green
business and activities. (You are already subscribed.)
(b) Marin Greens Announcement List: Started for announcements only.
(c) Marin Greens website: Gary will be webmaster. Updates will
happen soon.
4) CANVASSING FOR MEASURE C, FAIRFAX PLASTIC BAG BAN
We moved it to Saturday October 18 at noon. We will meet outside of
the Fairfax Town Hall. We decided to hold it later because there is a
piece going out with the sanitary district newsletter soon.
5) PARTY FOR CYNTHIA
Sunday, September 28 from 3pm to 5pm. Location is home of Larry and
Holly Bragman, 30 Hickory Rd, Fairfax. Music by Rev. Otis T.
Scarecroe. We will continue to circulate email invitations. Marnie
will print and mail postcard to 2,400 Marin Greens. She will check to
make sure we comply with all FPPC requirements. She will also check
in with the Fairfax Town Clerk. Gary will write media advisory. We
will not do press event because Cynthia can not arrive before 3pm.
6) ENDORSEMENTS
(a) State Prop. 1 on High Speed Rail: Will discuss and vote by email
by 9/22
(b) Smart rail measure: Will discuss and vote by email
(c) Hospital board: Will discuss and vote by email
7) NEXT MEETING
