[Marin-d] MY CANDIDATE STATEMENT AND BIO FOR THE 3RD REGIONAL GP REP. POSITION.

I hope this is not to long 
      
I, David Quinley would like you to consider me for the position of the 2nd Runner up to the primary (3rd in line) to the north bay regional Rep. to the California Council of the state Green Party. 
      It would be duty if I win the position, to take temp. place of the primary or 1st runner up to position, if neither can not fulfill one of the duties of the office.
  If elected, I will endeavor to make state party much more effectively run organization. Less talk, more do. 
  Have been member of the Green Party since 92. 
 I started in 2001 a Green Party Caucus to Ca. Student Assoc. of Community Colleges, of which I still mange the yahoo group for.
 I ran in general June election of 2007 for the Marin Green Party Council, as part of the campaign to have a contested race, so we appear on ballet (8 running for 7 positions).
 I remain on the board. 
I was elected to national steering committee for Campus Greens (Student GP Group) at that last national Campus Greens Con. in 2004, and serve on it for many years, until we disbanded it a few years ago, do to lack of participation, and resources. 
I have president of Campus Greens chapter at College of Marin  since 2005.
 Some of our recent events where a event for a book on Mamia A. Jamal with a appearance by Lynn Stewart,, a film showing just before Presidential election on the  big screen of American Blackout, a forum to stop the possible cut of the title right Student Senate of Community Colleges Budget. A forum on Palestine including a big screen showing of Occupation 101, and many multi media outdoor events at the Kentfield Campus, to try get students involved. 
I have ran, lost and won for races on Novato and that other campus for student government at COM. 
I was a writer, photographer, artist, and website editor for out student newspaper for a few years. 
I am also a fledgling filmmaker. 
  I continue to be involved in campaigns on local, state and national issues.
