We would like to call your attention to a poverty reduction bill now sitting on Gov. Schwarzenegger's desk that would significantly help low-income families live in healthier, more vibrant communities in Marin and California. 
 
The governor needs to hear from you that this bill is crucial to Marin County and California's future.

 
SB 194
 
The Community Equity Investment Act of 2010 (SB 194, Sponsored by Sen. Florez) would ensure that low-income residents have a meaningful role in determining how Community Development Block Grants are spent - and that the needs of those communities are prioritized.
