Studies indicate that the Lagunitas Creek watershed (to which San Geronimo is a tributary) produces up to 15% of the State’s coho population. Steelhead trout, designated as threatened, also find important habitat in San Geronimo Valley. </span></font></span><span style=""><font class="Apple-style-span" size="4"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 14px;">The potential benefit of protecting and restoring fish habitat in San Geronimo Valley is huge, and the fate of salmon here will have important ramifications for the entire Central California population of coho salmon and steelhead.</span></font></span></span></div>
