Friend --

This is to announce the next General Assembly <http://www.cagreens.org/ga/2015-06> of the Green Party of California (GPCA) - Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28 in San Jose, CA.

We are very excited that our meeting will be held in conjunction with the US Social Forum <http://www.ussfsanjose.com/> which will be hosted at San Jose State University from June 24-27.  On June 25-26, the GPCA will be sponsor various workshops and panel presentations <http://www.cagreens.org/action/ussf-sanjose-2015> with Green officeholders and others that will be open to all attendees of the US Social Forum. The GPCA has endorsed the US Social Forum <https://www.ussocialforum.net/sanjose/> in San Jose and encourages Greens to attend for the educational, alliance-guiding and organizing opportunities.

The General Assembly is the primary decision-making body of the GPCA and consists of delegates from each active county organization. A list of how many delegates alloted per county can be found here <http://www.cagreens.org/ga/2015-01/delegates>.

The spring General Assembly agenda will include approving our FY2015-16 budget, and other agenda items submitted by our state party committees <http://www.cagreens.org/committees> and working groups <http://www.cagreens.org/workinggroups>.

GPCA Committees, Working Groups and County Organizations wishing to submit additional agenda items (in accordance with GPCA Bylaws 7-2.1 <http://cagreens.nationbuilder.com/r?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cagreens.org%2Fbylaws%2F2013-03-23%237-2.1&utm_campaign=ga_2014_sb&n=5&e=08a57799ba34f5026a99244b9ead7e296998fd33&utm_source=cagreens&utm_medium=email>) must notify the State Meeting Planning Committee <mailto:agenda-team at cagreens.org> by April 13, and submit final text in this format <http://cagreens.nationbuilder.com/r?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cagreens.org%2Fga%2Fproposal-format&utm_campaign=ga_2014_sb&n=6&e=08a57799ba34f5026a99244b9ead7e296998fd33&utm_source=cagreens&utm_medium=email> by no later than April 28.  An agenda will be posted by mid-May

Registration for the General Assembly will open by mid May, and will include a vegetarian/vegan lunch and a light breakfast each day. The GPCA will offer a special $20 US Social Forum (USSF) registration to California Greens to attend the if you are also registering for the General Assembly. The regular individual registration <https://www.ussocialforum.net/registration> for the USSF is between $50 and $100.
Lodging in San Jose will available at nearby motels <http://www.lonelyplanet.com/usa/california/san-jose/hotels>. Because of the presence of the USSF, availability may be limited and early reservations are advised. Hope to see you in San Jose.
