Currently, students in our school district have the opportunity to fulfill this requirement by taking one of the following courses: Multicultural LiteratureHistory of Social Movements: From Hooverville to Ferguson?Gender and Ethnicity in Literature and film ?Mexican American Heritage?Chicano/a Mural Art History?Chicano Studies 101 (College level class in partnership with CSU Long Beach)?Any Ethnic Studies course offered at Rio Hondo Community College Since passing our requirement many other school districts have done the same. Including Los Angeles, Sacramento, Basset, Woodland, El Monte, Montebello and Coachella Valley have all made Ethnic Studies a graduation requirement while others like Oakland, San Diego and San Fransisco have greatly expanded and/or established programs in their districts.
