I am glad to hear that a green party presidential candidate forum is
scheduled for January.

Due to previous travel commitments, I will not be attending. Monterey

Dear Green Party Friends,
In our school?district we launched a major initiative toward educational and racial justice by becoming the first school district in the State of California to make Ethnic Studies a graduation requirement. Currently, students in our school district have the opportunity to fulfill this requirement by taking one of the following courses:
Multicultural LiteratureHistory of Social Movements: From Hooverville to Ferguson?Gender and Ethnicity in Literature and film ?Mexican American Heritage?Chicano/a Mural Art History?Chicano Studies 101 (College level class in partnership with CSU Long Beach)?Any Ethnic Studies course offered at Rio Hondo Community College
Since passing our requirement many other school districts have done the same. Including Los Angeles, Sacramento, Basset, Woodland, El Monte, Montebello and Coachella Valley have all made Ethnic Studies a graduation requirement while others like Oakland, San Diego and San Fransisco have greatly expanded and/or established programs in their districts. All this started by a Green! :-)?

The presidential forum will be followed by a?Saturday evening courtyard dinner and reception from 6-7:30pm with the presidential candidates (dinner available from vegetarian food truck on-site) and after that, an evening program with elected Greens and other Green success stories in San Diego County. 


The General Assembly is?the party's?primary decision-making body <http://www.cagreens.org/bylaws/2013-06-23#Article_7._General_Assembly>. Delegates <http://www.cagreens.org/ga/2016-01/delegates>?are chosen by?counties <http://www.cagreens.org/county-parties>. The agenda <http://www.cagreens.org/ga/2016-01/agenda> is below.
