This is to announce special elections to fill four vacated GPCA state Coordinating Committee seats -- one female and three male --?to?fill the remainder of ?two-year Coordinating Committee terms running from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2017. The application deadline is Sunday, March 6 at 6pm. Applications must include a biography and what applicants wish to accomplish on the Coordinating Committee. Please <>send applications here . Those interested should review the Coordinating Committee's?duties and authority ?and?committee home page ?to learn more.?Once received, candidates' applications will be posted on these pages (three male seats , one female seat ). The Coordinating Committee elections will be conducted by the GPCA?Standing General Assembly ?(SGA). The discussion period runs from Monday, March 7 through Sunday, April 17, and the voting between Monday, April 18 through Sunday, April 24.? The regular annual Coordinating Committee elections follow, where six female and six male seats are?elected each year to serve staggered, two year terms . The discussion period is from Monday, May 9 through Sunday, June 19, and voting from Monday, June 20 through Sunday, June 26.?Candidates shall be given time to present themselves to the San Francisco General Assembly May 14-15. Furthermore 8-4.5 ?speaks about filling vacancies and states "Upon a mid-term vacancy occurring on the Coordinating Committee (but not a vacancy occurring as a result of any seats not being filled during an annual regular election), the Coordinating Committee shall publish a Notice of Vacancy and Call for Candidate Submissions to the active County Organizations, for candidates seeking to fill the remainder of the vacated term. The Notice shall contain the timing of the submission, discussion and election process, and the time remaining in the term for which a vacancy has occurred. The Notice shall be published within two days of the vacancy occurring. The submission deadline shall be 21 days from the publishing of the Notice. The discussion period shall begin on the first Monday after the close of the submission period.?
