[Sosfbay-discuss] My proposed amendments to our Impeachment Resolution

The GPSCC's current impeacment resolution text:

I propose to amend the GPSCC resolution to impeach members of the Bush
administration by including Rice in the list of impeachees and the
handling of Katrina and Global Warming to the list of high crimes and
misdemeanors via the following four points:

1) Change the wording in the intro paragrapgh from

"..demanding the impeachment of George W. Bush,
Richard B. Cheney and two complicit associates."

Amend to read:

"..demanding the impeachment of George W. Bush,
Richard B. Cheney and three complicit associates."

2) Include Rice in the impeachees:
Current reading:
"Whereas, in the conduct of their offices, President George W. Bush,
Vice President Richard B. Cheney, Secretary of Defense Donald H.
Rumsfeld, and Attorney General Alberto Gonzales,..."

To be amended to read: 

"Whereas, in the conduct of their offices, President George W. Bush,
Vice President Richard B. Cheney, Secretary of State Rice, Secretary of
Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld, and Attorney General Alberto Gonzales,..."

3) Add new point 1 & 10, renumbering all accordingly:

1. ELECTION FRAUD AND ILLEGITAMATE SEIZING OF POWER: 
Never elected and stole both the 2000 and 2004 elections, the
Bush/Cheney administration seized power in a grand coup.  Fabricated
the false impression of majority popular support for their policies
through lies to the American public and illegal propaganda in the
American Media.

9. MALFEASANT MISLEADERSHIP RE: KATRINA AND GLOBAL WARMING
Incredible malfeasance prior to, during and after hurricane Katrina - a
preventable social disaster. More than 3,000 Human beings dead or
missing, the destruction of a major US city, sabotaging the rescue
efforts, dominating and enslaving the victims, and doling out the
windfall profits to corporate cronies in the aftermath;  Misusing
government resources to ignore and even hasten the oncoming Global
Warming imperiling Humanity itself and many species on planet Earth.  



4) Five impeachees, not four
And finally...

"Therefore, the Green Party of Santa Clara County demands the
impeachment and consequent removal from office of the four
aforementioned officials. "

To be amended to read:

" Therefore, the Green Party of Santa Clara County demands the
impeachment and consequent removal from office of the five
aforementioned officials. "
