During the peace march a week ago I was talking to a guy.
He groused about whomever it was that "beefed" the wheel
from his bike. I didn't get it until he explained that "beefed"
was the new slang for "stole". Since then I've been thinking
about how excellent this slang term is. The whole carniverous
thing is a theft from the commons on some level, and that
term captures the idea so well.
