CYNTHIA  McKINNEY is the first African-American Congresswoman from
Georgia.  She is a former member of the US House of  Representatives who
served six terms in the Congress, survived  reapportionments and came
back from a defeat engineered with a  malicious crossover vote in Georgia's
open primaries.  Until 2000,  Ms. McKinney served on the House International
Relations Committee,  where she was the highest-ranking Democrat on the
Human Rights  Subcommittee.

  A tireless advocate for human rights, Cynthia  McKinney is an unstinting 
critic
of the Bush adminstration's criminal  acts, including the war in Iraq and 
its
response to the fully  predictable consequences of Hurrican Katrina.  On
December 9th,  2006 on her final day in office, Congresswoman McKinney
submitted  before Congress Articles of Impeachment against President Bush,
Vice  President Cheney, and Secretary of State Rice.
