The NY Times is keeping the pressure on Attorney General Gonzales.

Last October, President Bush spoke with Attorney General Alberto R.
Gonzales
<http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/people/g/alberto_r_gonzales/index.html?inline=nyt-per>
to pass along concerns by Republicans
<http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/organizations/r/republican_party/index.html?inline=nyt-org>
that some prosecutors were not aggressively addressing voter fraud, the
White House said Monday. Senator Pete V. Domenici
<http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/people/d/pete_v_domenici/index.html?inline=nyt-per>,
Republican of New Mexico, was among the politicians who complained
directly to the president, according to an administration official.

The president did not call for the removal of any specific United States
attorneys
<http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/subjects/u/united_states_attorneys/index.html?inline=nyt-classifier>,
said Dana Perino, a White House spokeswoman. She said she had “no
indication” that the president had been personally aware that a process
was already under way to identify prosecutors who would be fired.

But Ms. Perino disclosed that White House officials had consulted with
the Justice Department in preparing the list of United States attorneys
who would be removed.

(read the rest at the link). On second thought, spend the time writing
a letter to your local newspaper demanding that Gonzales be removed.

Issues:
Politically motivated firing of US Attorneys
Illegal use of Patriot Act by FBI.
General disregard for the Constitution.
