The Senate Appropriations Cmte. hearing was on TV this
afternoon so I was able to see the actual vote on
SB840. It was 10-6 along party lines. The 17th member,
Jim Battin, Republican, was ill and unable to attend
the meeting to vote.
It will go to the Senate floor to be voted on next
week. Continue to lobby your Senator to vote yes or
thank them if they are Co-Authors:

   1. Senator Elaine Alquist (Santa Clara) – principal
   2. Senator Gilbert Cedillo (Los Angeles)
   3. Senator Dean Florez (Shafter)
   4. Senator Ellen Corbett (San Leandro) – principal
   5. Senator Sheila Kuehl (Santa Monica) – author
   6. Senator Alan Lowenthal (Long Beach)
   7. Senator Carole Migden (San Francisco) –
principal
   8. Senator Jenny Oropeza (Long Beach)
   9. Senator Alex Padilla (San Fernando Valley)
