[Sosfbay-discuss] Save BAREC Campaign Planning Meeting 3 pm Saturday October 27th in Santa Clara

Folks:  The Santa Clara city council decisions to rezone  and amend the 
general plan 
to allow development on the BAREC site will be subject to a  referendum on 
the February 6, 2008 ballot in that city.  I will be  leading a Save BAREC 
campaign planning meeting in Santa Clara this Satrudary  aftenoon.  For those who 
are interested, this is an opportunity to learn  concepts for a "campaign 
plan".  The GPSCC endorsed the Save BAREC  campaign in March 2005.  Please note 
that if you attend, you will be asked  to volunteer to help in some manner.  See

Who: All willing to contribute ideas and expertise to overturn  rezoning, 
etc. of 90 N Winchester Blvd. BAREC property.
What: Prepare  Committee Campaign Plan (Election is February 5th, 2008)
When: Saturday,  October 27, 2007 at 3:00 PM.
Where: 3171 Cecil Ave (X streets are Dorcich  and N. Henry) Near Winchester & 
Stevens Creek Blvd.
Why: To save the  last 17 acres of agricultural land in Santa Clara from an 
City approved  planned development.
