The message below just came through on the GP-US discussion list. CA needs
representation on the Finance committee. We had an applicant at our last
teleconference, but concerns were expressed including the fact that he is
already overbooked on state committees. Do you know someone who might be
interested in such a position? Note that they do not have to be a
delegate, but just a member of GPCA. They would have to be vetted by the
GPCA delegation to join the committee. Please forward to your local
organizations. You may be surprised and find out that you have folks that
would really like to work on GP-US finances.

>From Jody Grage: jody at gp.org,
Acting CoChair of the Financial Committee of the Green Party of the United
States (GP-US)

Are you adept at financial work? Your talents are needed by your party.
You are cordially invited to join the committee that considers how best to
use the financial resources of GP-US.

Given all that needs to be done, what is the best use of GP-US money? How
can we make maximum use of the money we have and still stay prepared for
lean times? What financial information does the National Committee want
and need? Are there ways to do some of the things we're doing less
expensively? How can we encourage Greens to regard money as a tool to do
Green work? The Finance Committee (FinCom) is seeking members to work on
questions including these. If you are interested or know someone else who
is, please contact FinCom acting co-chair Jody Grage (jody at gp.org) for
information, including the vetting process for non-delegates to apply.
The National Committee approves all FinCom members. And if you have
additional questions for us, please let us know, too.
