GREEN PARTY OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY  
APRIL 3, 2008 MEETING NOTES 

Attending: Tian Harter, Dana St. George, Gerry  Gras, Drew Johnson, Jim 
Doyle, Jim Stauffer, Warner Bloomberg, Cameron  Spitzer
Facilitator: Drew Johnson Notes Taker: Warner  Bloomberg 

Notes from the previous meeting on March 6, 2008  had been published on the 
GPSCC general discussion email list and a paper copy  was circulated at the 
meeting. No formal action taken. 

Treasurer's Report: Funds and expenses. Jim Doyle  requests County Council 
send thank you notes to donors. 
State Party Business: Plenary in Berkeley April  5-6th -- GPSCC delegates are 
Dana, Warner, Jim Stauffer and Tian;  Alternates are Gerry and Drew. Brief 
presentation by agenda packet review group  – All recommendations affirmed; No 
positions on the various budget items.  
County Polling – Affirm 4 GPSCC votes No on 98 and  Yes on 99; Gerry Gras 
will report. 

National Nominating Convention, Chicago, IL July  10-13th Discussion of costs 
issues. Waiting for announcement of  nominating convention delegates from 
state party committee. 

Tabling Issues: JSA; Earth Day; Berryessa Arts  & Wine Festival; July 4th 
Festival Etc.  
Usual discussions re tabling supplies. No decision  re specific purchases at 
Plenary; individual initiative to be taken. 

Fund Raising: $2,000 minimum new funds goal for  September newsletter costs. 
Possible strategies include yard sale and requests  during phone banking.
Impeachement Actions Report: Continuing encounters  at Zoe Lofgren's office.
GPCA Coordinating Committee regional member Bylaws  revisions; Done in both 
Counties; Amendments and fully revised Bylaws sent to  GPCA CC and Bylaws 
Committee. Need to recruit replacements for when current term  ends (i.e., Jim 
Stauffer is attending CC meetings as Jo Chamberlain's  alternate). 
Miscellaneous Reports: Including Hospital  Coalition seeking San Jose City 
Council resolution to identify alternate  appropriate site to replace former San 
Jose Medical Center downtown location
