Do we want to host this meeting enough to bankrupt ourselves?

Ray Tobey did some research into a venue in Palo Alto.  His email is below.  Hopefully the the rich text is preserved.  Really good option with one drawback: the only solidly available date in January is the weekend of the 3rd and 4th.  That's awfully close to the hollidays.  Dunno if people would want to travel after the holliday travel, or if they would even be back yet.  Someone should find out if this is a bad date for the gathering.

Hi all,

I spoke to Marlies Toms at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Palo Alto. Most of the January weekends are partially booked. The only one completely open is the first, January 3rd and 4th.

Room
Rate
Capacity

Main Hall
$350

Kitchen
$90

Room 6,9,10,A
$40
15

Room 4-5
$60
25-30
These rates are per day. We could get the rooms all day Saturday and 2 - 10pm Sunday. Friday might be open too, but I didn't ask.

Each room will require a $90 security deposit, with an additional $90 cleaning deposit for any room where we plan to serve food.
