First. it appears that Mark Sanchez is going to need a last minute surge 
to win his Board of Supervisor's seat.  His main opponent is not from 
the community, but has descended from the Heights to his lawyer's office 
and the Dem. County Committee.  Big bucks are available and are being 
used to paint a pretty conservative Dem as a "progressive". 

I hear that polling puts this race in a dead heat.   You can help by

This is a very winnable race.

Second.  Van Jones's new book, the Green Collar Economy has showed up in 
the SC County Library System as being newly acquired.  Eight Copies were 
ordered and there are 6 requests already.   San Jose has ordered one 
copy for most branches, but it has not show up yet.  This book is #4 on 
the SF Chronicle best seller list.
