Dear Greens,

At last month's General Assembly in Venice, a committee was
approved to examine variations of an at-large election system for
electing members to the Coordinating Committee of the GPCA. The
charge was to come back with a proposal to be considered at the
next General Assembly in October in Sonoma county.

The committee will start with Bylaws Restructuring proposals # 1 and
# 2 (submitted by Alameda/Los Angeles, and by Larry Mullen), in the
Venice plenary agenda packet, but other implementation scenarios are
being solicited. This is your opportunity to contribute to this
project. If anyone in your county has comments on the existing
proposals, or has suggestions for other variations, they can contact
the committee at:

For reference, the agenda packet can be downloaded at

The committee will be meeting in the near future to consider all
input, and it must produce a proposal by early August for the
October state meeting. Therefore, we ask that all comments be
submitted as soon as possible, preferably no later than July 9.
