[Sosfbay-discuss] Water legislation votes

The list of State Legislators who took principled stand on the water 
legislation included Ira Ruskin, Paul Fong and Jim Beall .  The others 
just went along and unfortunately, Joe Simitian once again paved the way 
for more ecological destruction as he has always done.

It is interesting that some of the more progressive Democrats, like Tom 
Amiano, and wingnut Republicans like Roger Niello (Sacramento -- suburbs 
mainly) agreed that the legislation was bad.  At times the compromise to 
the middle means that everyone gets screwed.
