I think it's important that we do this. The Greens need a lobbying group 
that can speak for the local Party, on issues agreed on by consensus at the 
monthly meetings.

Interesting Euro-centric view of the US.  I might say that the problem
is not that we are climate illiterate, but rather science illiterate.
Thus Mooney and Kirschenbaum's book, Unscientific America.

There are a lot of things that can be done.  But, I think that we need
to get to know our local representative a lot better than we do, or for
them to get to know us:

Honda, McNerney, Eshoo, Lofgren, Stark all have to know that there is a
constituency that cares deeply about this and who are willing to reflect
this at the ballot box.  At the same time, we need to hammer Boxer's
office all we can.

The Nuclear Information and Referral Service is scheduling October 15 as
a "call in day."  I will post more about that on California Greening as
it gets nearer.
