Caroline,
All HC Forums are open to the public. They are held every Sunday at 11 AM and feature a lunch afterwards for donations of $7-10 if people want to stay and eat and chat, often till 2 PM in the Palo Alto High School Student Center (cafeteria). Paly is located on the corner of Embarcadero Road and El Camino Real, across from Stanford U.

Today we had former State Assembly member Sally Lieber speaking for Prop 15, the California Fair Elections Act. I asked her about the issue of the special rules that make it more difficult for 3rd Party candidates and whether that could be made more fair in the future. She agreed that changes could and probably would be made should the test run be successful in the next two years. A couple of others asked followup questions in a similar vein about the effect on third parties and the voting system in general.
