[GPSCC-chat] No More Funds For the Nine (Or ten?) Year War

Green Friends,

Let's call our House Representatives to demand (or urge) that they vote 
"NO" on any more funding for the nine year Afghan war.  The vote will be 
coming up early next week.

Their (the White House) excuse for more funding is that we must 
"stabilize" the political situation (put down the Taliban and protect 
the corrupt Karzai regime now in power) with our military intervention.  
(More than a 1,000 American lives and many more Afghan lives  have 
already been sacrificed.)

The Bush, and other previous administrations,  have painted the U.S. in 
a corner.  Obama is afraid to walk on the paint to end the debacle while 
the military-industrial complex is laughing all the way to the bank.
