Caroline: Fred should be reembursed $40 for the use of his clubhouse.
Approved.
Plenary delegates: Next meeting will be Thursday, Apr. 28, which is
after the deadline for designating delegates for the next state plenary,
April 30 & May 1 in Oakland. We can have 4 delegates and 4 alternates.
Werner would volunteer. Caroline & Merriam volunteers. There will be a
prep meeting at Werner's house. Jim Stauffer. Tian volunteers to be a
subalternate.
Decision: Delegates: Werner, Caroline and Merriam are designated as
delegates with Jim Stauffer and Tian alternates, & the county council
should try to recruit others. We have a consensus.
Regional rep election (Jim Stauffer):
* PLEASE PUT THIS ON THE AGENDA FOR THE APRIL MEETING. San
Mateo County needs to have a similar election. Werner is running for
regional rep. Spencer Graves and Roy Nordblum volunteered to serve as
alternates.
* 9 people volunteered for 12 at-large state coordinating council
delegates. They are supposed to be elected by an on-line vote two weeks
after the next plenary, April 30 & May1.

Proposed: Order 25 Green party platform summaries to arrive for Junior
State.
Jim Stauffer:
1. Mother's day cards? Caroline will look.
2. Bookmark on getting rid of nuclear power? Spencer & Caroline
will draft something.
Caroline will host a button making party tomorrow night.
* films at SJ Peace & Justice Center: Merriam proposed the Green Party
host a film showing the first Friday of every month. Merriam will be
the movie coordinator but needs people to come and help out. Tian can
help the 2nd or 4th Fridays. Merriam will see if she can get the 2nd.
Cameron and Tian can serve on the committee.
* Werner: We could use this for outreach within the Green Party
membership. We could use this for phone banking. Cameron has the lists.
* We could ask them to attend & help set up for Friday
evening movie night, or tabling or help organize the 2012 Green Party
National Convention. Werner will write a script and send to Caroline.
Give Cameron the list of zip codes at least 2 days in advance.
* fireplace tiles for Peace & Justice Center: Selling commemorative
tiles for $100 for the Collins Foundation. Tian will volunteer to
prepare art: A sunflower labeled the Green Party of Santa Clara
County. We pay $150 / year for rent. (Jim Doyle: asked if we could
make a pledge rather than paying it.) Consensus.
* Co-sponsor events (Jim Doyle & Fred D.):
** Proposed we volunteer to serve as a co-sponsor a talk by
the leader of Project Censored with the Peace Center, Peter Phillips,
who also teaches at Sonoma State -- if he would be willing to come.
Dana volunteered to ask the Humanists Society and WILPF to also
co-sponsor. Also ask Paul George, Peninsula Peace & Justice Center --
possibly at the First Christian Church. (Talk with Shelby; Merriam
will email Shelby's contact information to Jim Doyle.) We have agreed
to co-sponsor Peter Phillips.
* Contact person for someone interested in Green Party (Gerry):
Someone in Berryessa called asking about how to get more information
about the Green Party. Gerry will (1) invitation him to Caroline's
button party tomorrow night, (2) give him Caroline's phone number, (3)
ask if he'd like a call from Jim Satuffer and (4) mention Green party
tabling at the Berryessa Art and Wine Festival.
* Michael Parrenti usually charges $2,000 to speak and is willing
to talk in May at the First Christian Church for ~$250 to raise money
for the people who have been arrested / harassed by the FBI for peaceful
assembly and petitioning for a redress of grievances, possibly the
second Friday in May. Merriams thinks that this seems primarily a
harrassment of Palestinian Americans & others involved in the Middle
East issue "on the wrong side". Merriam proposes that we co-sponsor and
allocate $100 towards the cost, with our liability limited to $100 --
and we can get that back if they raise enough. First Christian Church
charges $100. She will also contact Betsy about the ACLU
co-sponsoring. (Another possible event: Show the film, Co-Intel Pro 101.)
