Hello, All:

Does anyone have the new iPhone app for Occupy
(http://english.aljazeera.net/indepth/opinion/2011/10/20111030111545619.html)?
It could help us get the information that Kyra was requesting (see
below).

	  Thanks,
	  Spencer

Hi, Kyra:

I reviewed all the Wikipedia entries for 17 different Occupy
groups plus an article from the LA Times for Occupy LA and summarized
what I found in the Google Docs table at the link I sent you before (and
copied below).

I didn't find anyplace where city officials had provided an
official license to stay. Occupy Oakland started Oct. 10& 11 with good
relations with city officials. Then Oct. 20, started publishing
official eviction notices citing "violence, assaults, threats and
intimidation" at the Occupy site. Protesters countered that those
problems had been endemic to that area and had been ignored by city
officials for years. The police continued issuing eviction notices
until Oct. 25, when the police attacked, as has been discussed elsewhere.

Occupiers have worked with city officials and others in their
communities and have moved to allow space for other previously scheduled
events, e.g., a weekly crafts fair and a marathon. In several places,
Occupiers are avoiding arrest by moving, e.g., across the street as in
San Jose to avoid arrest.

Cities with zero arrests so far include Ashland, WA, Buffalo, NY,
Eugene, OR, Houston, TX, Los Angeles, CA (?), Providence, RI, and Salem
OR (assuming my numbers are correct). There are Occupations in many
other places, but with the exception of LA, I limited this research to
locations with their own Occupy entries in Wikipedia.

For more detail, please see my Google Docs summary table
(https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlbTqmKWlWxhdC1VLUhFMjdHTDJTbUZRVlc0aFdubkE).

What else would you like to know? I cannot commit to doing more
on this before Saturday, but others on this list might be inspired to do
something more if you ask.
