[GPSCC-chat] Request for Agenda Items for October 27 Meeting

Hi everyone,

At Thursday's meeting I volunteered to prepare the agenda for the October meeting.

Please send agenda items and changes to this list: sosfbay-discuss at cagreens.org.  Include the name of the presenter and the amount of time needed.  Please don't contact me privately.  Building the agenda on this list lets everyone know what's coming up and how full the agenda is getting.

At the end of Thursday's meeting we had two potential guest speakers for October.  When one of them has been confirmed, please send an email to this list so I can correct the agenda.

We had 2 items left over at the end of Thursday's meeting.  They have been added to the October agenda.

Here's what I have so far:

Location:  San Jose Peace & Justice Center, 48 S 7th St, San Jose

7:00 PM  Social time: practice one-minute speeches, eat, chat, etc.

7:30 PM  Begin meeting

*  Guest speaker: either (a) someone from Californians for Justice or (b) Masao Suzuki
       15 min (total, including Q & A)

*  Choose facilitator, note taker, timekeeper, vibes watcher, November agenda preparer, November one-minute speakers
       2 min

*  Introductions and short announcements
       10 min

*  Revise and affirm agenda
       4 min

*  Treasurer's report, pass the hat
       4 min, Jim Doyle

*  Movie Night
       6 min, Merriam Kathaleen

*  Make a decision on a speaker for November meeting
       4 min, group

*  Campaign finance reform (carried over from September agenda)
       3 min, Jim Doyle

*  Fair and equitable taxation (carried over from September agenda)
       3 min, Jim Doyle
