US President Barack Obama has blamed the wave of uprisings
across the Middle East for the sluggish recovery of the country's
sclerotic economy.

“The changes that have taken place in the Middle East sent
oil prices up, and that gave a shock to the world economy,”
the US commander-in-chief alleged in Washington on Wednesday.
