What I wrote in reply on the GROW list to Edy Alvarez who'd posted it:
"that's
a bogus fb group for Santa Clara. like most all of them it wasn't set
up by us or in any way in conjunction with us. We are not even on it. We
should be given control of it."
BTW, previously I went so far as
to write to FB to try to get Admin rights to "our" page. Never heard
back and hadn't followed up yet.

"Marnie Glickman, HIRED by the state party, set up these facebook pages for county chapters a while back.
Regardless
of the background of why these FB pages were set up, they are here now
and all Greens should plug themselves into their local county chapter
and really make their county chapters thrive.
I'm sure Marnie
Glickman would be more than happy to have people join their respective
FB county chapter. She's NOT in charge of the pages, but she remained an
admin on these pages but if we can transition from her being sole admin
on certain pages to transferrring responsibility to local Greens I
think that would be great! ;) Let's get with the program and have all
Greens join their respective county pages!

Unfortunately, some of our members do not use Facebook. GPCA has a link
to a list of active counties on the cagreens.org home page. It takes

I then replied to the GROW list:
"The
Ten Key Values of the Green Party includes DECENTRALIZATION. No one
central person be it MF or MG should have admin rights over all "our" FB
pages. That is extremely ungreen. The Santa Clara Green Party Council
requires that the state party give us exclusive rights over "our" FB
page or we will have to follow through with a previous inquiry to FB to
have them given to us."
