Covered California Enrollment Workshop and Health FairWhat: The five million Californians without health insurance can now enroll in a new program called Covered California. Health insurance coverage will be offered to everyone, even if they have a pre-existing condition or can't afford it. Many low-income and middle class families will qualify for discounted premiums and federal subsidies to help pay for insurance. Assemblymember Bob Wieckowski is hosting a health fair to provide information about the program and help with enrollment. There will also be free and discounted health services provided at the fair by community partners.When: Saturday, November 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
