Hello, All:

What do you think about trying to create a blog for the Santa
Clara Greens?

Jim Doyle told me this has been discussed in the past, but has
yet to become reality. The following is a specific proposal for making
this

PROPOSED: The Santa Clara Greens will authorize the creation of a blog
on its web site. The party will elect at least two blog editors. At
least one editor (different from the author) must approve any text
posted as a blog. All blogs must be consistent with the ten key values
and be labeled as the opinion of the author and not necessarily a
position of the Green Party of Santa Clara County. Also, claims that
might be controversial should be justified with a footnote giving a
reference to an appropriate source with not links when appropriate web
sites are available.

If you like this idea, Betsy and I volunteer to serve as
editors. I'm happy to help others develop ideas, polish the verbiage,
and check footnotes before posting. I will also research and document
the technical issues involved in maintaining a blog.

QUESTION: Who manages the Facebook page for the Santa Clara Greens? As
each blog is posted, some reference to it should be made on our Facebook
page. In addition, the title should be limited to 140 characters and so
it could become a tweet. There is a way to do that so it is done
automatically, I don't know how, but I'm willing to work with others to
get this all set up properly.

       Spencer
