Hello, All:

Might someone carry the following message for me to this event?
I will not be able to attend but could help with research to support any
serious political effort to challenge the current reality:

****************************

"Over the past 40 years in the US, the prison population has
increased by a factor of 10, the average annual income has doubled, and
research has shown that the only effective drug program is treatment,
not criminalization. I believe we should stop prosecuting drug-related
offenses except when accompanied by violence and use that money to fund
first-class drug treatment programs and research to make them better
plus similar programs and research to keep kids in school, providing
quality child care for at-risk kids from neonatal to age 20.

"Spencer Graves, PhD statistician, who can help with the research
if others can manage the politics."

****************************

(105 words; should take roughly 53 seconds at a modest pace of 2
words per second)

I've made similar offers in the past with no response. However,
sometimes an idea like this will sell after the 10th time or presented
by different people ;-)

       Thanks,
       Spencer
