You are invited to the next General Assembly of the Green Party of California, January 23-24, 2016 in San Diego.
As part of the General Assembly <http://www.cagreens.org/ga/2016-01>, the GPCA will be hosting a 2016 Green Presidential Candidates Forum <http://www.cagreens.org/elections/2016/presidential-candidate-forum-san-diego> from 3-6pm on Saturday afternoon - open to all Green Party members.
The presidential forum will be followed by a Saturday evening courtyard dinner and reception from 6-7:30pm with the presidential candidates (dinner available from vegetarian food truck on-site) and after that, an evening program with elected Greens and other Green success stories in San Diego County.
The General Assembly is the party's primary decision-making body <http://www.cagreens.org/bylaws/2013-06-23#Article_7._General_Assembly>. Delegates <http://www.cagreens.org/ga/2016-01/delegates> are chosen by counties <http://www.cagreens.org/county-parties>. The agenda <http://www.cagreens.org/ga/2016-01/agenda> is below. Please have your County Party send its delegate list here <mailto:agenda-team at cagreens.org> as soon as possible and preferably no later than Tuesday, January 19. Other Greens are welcome to attend as provided for in this policy <http://www.cagreens.org/ga/attendance-policy>.
Registration is open here <https://cagreens.nationbuilder.com/reg_ga_jan2016> and will be $40 through December 31 and $50 afterwards. All registration <https://cagreens.nationbuilder.com/reg_ga_jan2016>s <https://cagreens.nationbuilder.com/reg_ga_jun2015> include lunch and a light breakfast each day. All meals will be vegetarian or vegan. There is also a single day registration of $21/day for either Saturday or Sunday and $26/day after June 1.
The General Assembly and Presidential Forum will be held at the Grassoots Oasis <http://grassrootsoasis.com/2015/05/13/welcome/> activist space just a ten minute walk from historic Old Town San Diego. Public transit is available at the Old Town Transit Center <http://www.transitunlimited.org/Old_Town_Station>, featuring easy Amtrak Pacific Sunliner <http://www.amtrak.com/pacific-surfliner-train>, San Diego Trolley Green Line <http://www.sdmts.com/Trolley/Trolley.asp> and San Diego Metropolican Transit System bus lines <http://www.sdmts.com/mtscr/BusRoutes.aspx>.
