[GPSCC-chat] Oil train event in San Jose Sunday 1/25

City Hall, Room 118-120.   These bomb trains are literally an explosive issue.   The Bakken crude
has a high methane content.  In Quebec a Bakken train derailed and 47 people died.
How many injured?  Nobody injured, only dead.

The evacuation zone for a derailment is 1/2 mile on either side of the tracks, and the 
potential fire damage is one mile on either side of the tracks.

Speakers include San Jose City Councilman Ash Kalra, 
Pierre Delforge from 350 Silicon 
Valley, Matt Krogh with Forest Ethics, 
and more.  

Co-hosted by 350 Silicon Valley, City Councilmember Ash Kalra, Center for Biological 
Diversity and ForestEthics.  GPSCC should sign on as a co-sponsor if at all possible.
