Notes from Monthly General Meeting July 28, 2016
San Jose Peace and Justice Center, 48 South 7th Street, San Jose,CA (Between Santa Clara and San Fernando Streets)

Introductions and Announcements – Three new meeting attendees; two recently from Oregon
Treasurer’s Report – FPPC reports due July 10th mailed July 5th
 
County Council Positions – Sandy Perry and Caroline Yacoub submitted sufficient signatures to the SCC Registrar of Voters to be “elected” unopposed since seven positions were open.  GPSCC Bylaws allow them to appoint additional County Council members for two year terms (effectively four year terms since “central committee” elections now are held only during Presidential elections years).  No volunteers.  (Continuing agenda item)
 
State Party issues:  Report from SGA members – GPCA Coordinating Committee elections resulted in “reform” slate successes.  The GPSCC had four volunteers to be on the GPCA Standing General Assembly (SGA) who were appointed by consensus of the County Council. However, Drew is moving to Alameda County next month (August); so there will be two positions to be filled for two year terms.  No volunteers (Continuing agenda item)
 
Follow up – onging webpage and email list issues – Consensus to proceed on investigating setting a web page and email list independent from cagreens.org.  Working Group formed to perform triage on existing web page and develop specific proposal(s) to bring to next meeting (with County Council to exercise its discretion between General Meetings if sooner action appropriate).  Web Page Working Group – Brian; Scott and Jessica.
 
Discussion of status of tabling supplies – Brian distributed the most recent edited version of the Donkey-Elephant leaflet and samples of others.  No decision(s) taken.
