The monthly meeting of the Green Party of Santa Clara County will be held tomorrow at 7:30 pm at the San Jose Peace and Justice Center, 48 S. Seventh Street, San Jose. A proposed agenda is posted below.


On Friday, December 16, the Green Party of Santa Clara County is co-sponsoring (with the San Jose Peace and Justice Center) a showing of the movie “Fidel: The Untold Story” at 7 pm at the San Jose Peace and justice Center. Please join us!

Draft Agenda for Monthly General Meeting December 15, 2016
 
7:30 pm – Begin meeting Select Facilitator, Note taker, Time keeper, and Vibes watcher(s); Select Agenda Preparer for next meeting; Affirm or modify draft agenda (5 Minutes)
 
7:35 pm - Introductions and Announcements (10 Minutes)
 
7:45 pm - Treasurer’s Report – Warner Bloomberg (5 Minutes)
 
7:50 pm – Further discussion election results and Jill Stein 2016 Campaign. Evaluation of key lessons learned nationally and locally. Identify next steps. Discuss Green Party relationships with Push for Progress and South Bay Progressive Alliance. Discuss Green Party plans for building campus Green Party clubs. (30 minutes)
 
8:20 pm – Social media and email issues. Report from Web Site working group on status of site and next steps. How to ensure a steady stream of content. Video page (Mike). Report on merging South Bay for Jill Stein and Green Party Facebook pages (Sandy). Report on email lists: a) blasts, b) meeting attender emails, c) sosfbay, d) a new discuss list (Sandy). (25 minutes).
 
8:45 pm – Proposed plan for a movie night (Robert, Cheryl, Sandy). (10 minutes).
 
8:55 pm – Report on join Economics for Activists book discussion club. (Sandy). (5 minutes)
 
9:00 pm – Proposal for January discussion forum on socialism (Matt). (10 minutes).
 
9:10 pm – Proposal for ongoing tabling and protests, including tabling supplies. (10 minutes).
 
9:20 pm - County Council Positions – County Council members serve as the GPSCC contacts with the Registrar of Voters, the GPCA Coordinating Committee and other organizations, as well as having various administrative tasks.  The GPSCC currently has 3 of 7 positions vacant. (5 minutes).
 
9:25 pm - State Party issues:  Report from SGA members. The SGA is an on-line decision making body for the state party between actual GPCA meetings.  The GPSCC has 3 of 5 positions filled on the SGA.  (5 Minutes).
 
9:30 pm – Adjourn.
