Dear Mr. Doyle:

My name is Kamisha McLean, and I am a Teaching Fellow for Citizen Schools, currently serving at Renaissance Academy at Mathson in San Jose.  This semester, our 7th-grade class is conducting a huge election research project, as a means of better understanding the concept of democracy.

To provide our students with a well-rounded perspective on the election process, we were hoping have a volunteer from your organization. We would be grateful to have the  Green Party of Santa Clara County come and speak with the students about the Presidential Candidate, Jill Stein. Perhaps, they can also bring campaign material from the office to share.  We would need at least two volunteers to come to our school one morning during the week of either Oct. 17 or Oct. 24?  Volunteers would also work with students who chose to advocate for Jill on their Campaign Table projects from 9am-1pm. In the following days, students will canvas at school during lunch and after school in their neighborhood, informing the community about the presidential candidates.

If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out. Thank you for your time and consideration!

Best,

Kamisha McLean
