<DIV>At the last GPSCC meeting (April 5, 2007) I tasked myself with drafting
<BR>a proposal to describe a reconstituted GPSCC Media Committee (last
<BR>previously attempted in 2005). Here are some thoughts. Anyone is
welcome<BR>to add to them.

<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The GPSCC Media Committee is a working group of volunteers who<BR>promote
the activities of the GPSCC to the local community through <BR>announcements to
all forms of public media -- e.g., large and small press; <BR>radio and
television stations; public announcement websites -- and by <BR>additional
announcements to community organizations.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The GPSCC Media Committee generally shall have authority to transmit
<BR>information about GPSCC programs and events. The GPSCC Media
Commitee <BR>also may copy and resend announcements from the Green Party of
California <BR>Media Committee and may transmit policy statements approved by
the GPSCC <BR>County Council or general membership. The GPSCC shall not
independently create <BR>policy statements.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The GPSCC Media Committee shall provide a monthly report of its
activites<BR>to the County Council or general membership.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>At least one member of the GPSCC Media Committee shall serve as liaison
<BR>with the GPCA Media Committee.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Additionally, the Media Committee shall have responsibility for creating,
planning<BR>and implementing: Media training activities; Video development
and distribution; and <BR>Coordination with Green Party candidates and their
media managers.</DIV>
