To The Editors: In its Editorial Sunday, September
14th, opposing Proposition 7, the Editors write: "Both political parties
oppose it." This statement reflects the SJMN's
longstanding bad habit of ignoring California's smaller political
parties. The paper routinely fails to report on the
conventions, candidates and positions of the California Green Party,
Libertarian Party, American Independent Party, Natural Law Party and Peace and
Freedom Party (which are listed on voter registration forms). Telling
only part of the truth is like voting for the lesser evil -- and it's really
bad "journalism". For the record, the Green Party of California also
opposes Proposition 7.
