I think that there are a few races in our county that will be
interesting to watch. especially 15th Congressional District and
20/21/28 Assembly Districts. <br>
<br>
<b>Congress:</b><br>
In my own Congressional District, CA-11, Democratic incumbent Jerry
McNerney has no less than 7 Republicans lining up to run against him.
The feel I have is that McNerney will win in a district that is
increasingly trending Democratic / DTS. <br>
<br>
In the 15th Congressional District, incumbent D Mike Honda seems to
have a Democratic Primary challenge from current, though in his last
term, State Senator Joe Simitian (SD 11 - election 2012). There are no
others with a campaign committee now. Simitian, as of Sept. 30, had
raised more money than Honda. <br>
<br>
There are 2 area Congress Critters who, unfortunately, do not have any
opposition currently raising money: Eshoo (CA-14 and Lofgren (CA-16).

<b>State Senate:<br>
</b>Santa Clara County contains all or parts of districts 10,11,13,15
Districts 10 only one elected in 2010. <br>
<br>
10th. Mostly in Alameda County. Ellen Corbett (D) running for
re-election. <br>
<b><br>
State Assembly: <br>
</b>All State Assembly races every 2 years. <br>
Santa Clara County has all or part of Districts 20,21,22,23,24,27,28.<br>
<br>

20th AD. Incumbent Torrico termed out. Mostly in Alameda County.<br>

21st AD. Incumbent Rushkin termed out. Mostly in San Mateo County. <br>

Only opposition is Tim Campbell (LIB)<br>
<br>
23rd AD Joe Cotto (D) incumbent) termed out. (Warner ran for this
once). <br>
3 Dem Candidate only (Avila, Campos, Medeiros)<br>
<br>
24th AD Jim Beall incumbent running for re-election. <br>

27th AD Bill Monning incumbent running for re-election. Mostly in
Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties. <br>
Only 1 Republican announced (Moon)<br>
<br>
28th AD incumbent Anna Caballero running for 12th State Sen. District.
Wide open race. Population center is Salinas. Wide open race with<br>
5 Democrats (Alejo, Barnes, De la Cruz, Dominguez, Sanchez)<br>
and 3 Republicans (Barker, Bernofsky, Shephard)<br>

And incumbent Caballero (ex-mayor of Salinas) still has a committee in
place. She would not have been termed out. <br>
