mid-January, the Parks and Recreation Commission made a recommendation
to City Council for a land use change in order to establish a
community garden on the old BMX site on Butterfield (north of
the Courthouse and south of the VTA parking lot). City Council will
review the recommendation at their February 3rd meeting. The site is a
little less than half and acre and should accommodate approximately 27
small garden plots. If you are interested in finding out more, visit <a

Could be a good idea for other under utilized plots elsewhere. It may
catch on, but I question how much. There is a comparatively high rent
condo complex planned just on the other side of the parking lot.<br>
