I just retired from teaching in Hollister and I was encouraged to
run for school board. I accepted the challenge. I am not a
politician, but I believe that I can be a voice of reason for
students, parents, teachers, and staff. I have done research on
best teaching methods, as well as problems in education. <br>
If I am elected now, with a major budget crisis, it will be
difficult. I think I can use common sense, research and
consultation with parents and staff to help me make decisions that
will be in the best interest of children.<br>
<span>Having said that, you know me. My political background has
been to struggle for social justice and human rights, but not a
politician. Now I find myself running a campaign and find that
having a vision is not enough. The reality is that it takes
money to get your message out. So here I am asking you to make
