<div style="font-size: 12px;">Every five years water suppliers in
California must update their Urban Water Management Plans (UWMPs).
UWMPs describe the service area of the water supplier, including
current and projected population, climate, and other demographic
factors affecting the supplier's water management planning. They
must identify and quantify the existing and planned sources of
water available to the supplier and provide a description of the
supplier's water demand management measures. The current round of
UWMPs (due by July 1, 2011) is especially important because
agencies must identify how they plan to reduce their potable water
use by 20% by 2020 in accordance with SBx7-7.</div>
