It is, in my view,</SPAN><SPAN style="COLOR: windowtext"> the single most egregious assault on clean air and water in our nation's history. </SPAN>This bill would cripple the budgets of several important federal agencies, such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). According to the Administration, H.R. 2584 would render the EPA fundamentally unable to implement its core mission: "to protect human health and the environment." </SPAN></DIV>
<P class=yiv1617962788Normal-P><SPAN class=yiv1617962788Normal-H><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt"></SPAN> </SPAN></DIV>
<P class=yiv1617962788Normal-P><SPAN class=yiv1617962788Normal-H><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt"></SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt">This bill also tacks on back-door changes that will erode 40 years of federal laws to protect clean air, water, land, and wildlife.
