In addition to calling Obama and elected reps - the party can show
concrete support for and publicize this important report tht was
just released.<br>

Cornell University Global Labor Institute has just come out with a
damaging report against Keystone.<br>

This is important because it is coming from a labor connected and
labor movement source.<br>

It has been long in the making and Sean Sweeney and the team at GLI
have been able to get a few unions, <br>
Amalgamated Transit Union & Transit Workers Union in addition
to Bill McKibbon and Naomi Klein among others, <br>
to sign on to an accompanying letter to ask other labor
leaders to sign on in opposition.<br>
<br>
The report, circulated today in the press, is already causing
controversy. Previous to its release, several powerful<br>
unions who are under the wrong impression that there will be many
union jobs, are coming out publicly against <br>
the brave transport unions that have spoken against the pipeline.<br>
<br>
The industry is on the attack. Reporters are calling to ask for a
response to all of cornell faculty being called liars.<br>
<br>
It would be important for the National Green Party to issue a
statement supporting both cornell and the unions that<br>
are smart enough to see the disaster of Keystone and the false
claims of being good for jobs.<br>
<br>
Not sure how this works but obviously it needs to be done in a short
time to be part of the initial controversy and then<br>
perhaps something more comprehensive can be put together. Any
suggestions or guidance on how GP can get <br>
show support and promote the party's position on this important
environmental issue?<br>
