Egypt has unleashed a revolutionary process in which the military,
business elites, workers, secular youth, and advocates of political
Islam have stakes. The roots of the uprising provide critical clues to
prospects for democratic reforms, economic changes and the struggles
that lie ahead. Does the Egyptian experience provide new role models for
nonviolent protest, "leaderless" movements, and new media?</div>
