Curry Fair Friends, a non-profit group, puts on a free thanksgiving buffet in a hall at the<br>county fairgrounds in Gold Beach. People can make a financial contribution if they wish. <br>People can volunteer if they wish. (I washed pots.) There are candles on the table, <br>tablecloths, china, silverware, glass goblets. There are lots of paying customers, it <br>avoids the the whole soup kitchen stigma, and a good time is had by all. It's a great <br>community-builder. The first year they served a hundred, the second year over two <br>hundred, and this third year three hundred and sixty-two were served. <br><br><br> </div></body>
