Hi! My name is Andrew Bear and I am the action lead for the San Jose sit-in to say No to the Keystone XL Pipeline.

<br>Thanks so much for signing up! We've already got a great group signed up and I know we can be successful to build pressure on President Obama to reject Keystone XL. <br>We hope that by coming together and preparing to take action over the next few months, we can build enough pressure on President Obama that he will reject Keystone XL, and our risking arrest will not be necessary. But we also need to be prepared to sit-in and take action in protest, if President Obama takes next step toward approving Keystone XL, which will be recommending Keystone XL as in the national interest - a determination that is still at least a few months away.

<br>We are going to have our first meeting/training to all go through the Pledge of Resistance Action training together next Saturday, October 5, from 9 am--2 pm (bring a bag lunch). I am still waiting for confirmation from the location, but did not want to wait any longer with the dates. I will send another email to confirm the venue. This training and meeting is is important for everyone who would like to to be involved in the action, both for people risking arrest, and for people who do not want to risk arrest, but would like to support the action in other ways. If you are able to be here, please come as we need your help to prepare a great action. If you cant make it at this time and day, just let me know. We will likely have another training before the action. But it is really important that everyone train together before we take action, so please come if you can make it.
