Interesting observations. Nichols was correct NOT to focus on the
immigration issue, which many talking heads did in trying to explain
this away. Not really mentioned by Nichols was the fact that
Cantor has a rather prickly personality, is not well liked by much
of anyone outside his immediate family and ran a really bad
campaign. <br>

Also, not mentioned, is the fact that Brat had significant backing
from right wing talk radio, especially that paragon of political
wisdom, Laura Ingraham. (source;
